City Council - Paper To Digital
This city council previously utilised a paper-based data collection system with manual entry of the data into a spreadsheet and other systems for preparing reports and invoicing. Experiencing issues such as misplaced paper-based information, The council knew it was time to do make a change to the way they were working. By implementing Infrastructure Data, all operations staff were able to collect onsite data via their mobile phone, providing immediate access to important information and without the issues of losing paper records and incorrect data from hard to read handwriting. Coagulant Optimisation Municipal WTP
After noticing operational issues at a 5.8MLD surface water treatment plant Lutra was employed to investigate and optimise the chemical dosing. Lutra found that the alum dose rates were higher than necessary, and were able to make adjustments that halved their usage without reducing treatment levels. The reduction in alum had the compounding effect of allowing a reduction in pH adjusted chemicals.

District Council 4 Plant LTO
After completing 2 new water treatment plants all with equipment that was mostly new to the operators this council decided to utilise Lutra's License To Operate (LTO) digital training for these and their older plants. This helped to ensure that staff new and old would know how to properly maintain all their plants. Comprehensive 3 level LTO's were produced, Level 1 contained an Interactive site maps, animated theory lessons, process descriptions containing relevant process information at a glance and some operations and maintenance videos. Level 2 comprised of SCADA video-based lessons, trouble shooting and more advanced maintenance videos, while Level 3 looked at troubleshooting, optimisation and even Membrane pinning video lessons. This system is now used to streamline onboarding, lighten the training load on senior operators and as a refresher as required.
